Help! Poison? (crosspost)

My son just chewed open 2 glow-in-the-dark light sticks he got at a

birthday party. I am not sure how much - if any - of the colored

liquid inside he ingested - he got some in his eye and complained it

hurt, though it was not red or swollen. The stuff smells very bad, I

can smell it on his hands and his eye but NOT in his mouth.

Unfortunately hubby gathered up the remains while I tended to

washing the eye and so I just now looked in the trash and indeed 2

of the tubes of colored liquid are chewed open and empty.

It is several hours after the fact - I estimate my son did this

between 7 & 8 am, when he came to me complaining about his eye, and

it is now 11:30 and he's at swim class with his dad.

He acted fine this morning - nothing was amiss in behavior or to

look at him.

Would it be too late to give him charcoal when he gets home at 2?

Is there anything else I could do to help detox this garbage from

his system?
