Guest guest
YES! LOL! Now this was a long time ago, but when my mother trained my little brother (He's 6 years younger than me) she would give him a new matchbox car every time he would use the potty. When he got the hang of peeing, he only got rewarded for pooping on the potty. After about a month of NO accidents of any kind. She stopped rewarding him. He did revert back, but by this time he was in underwear exclusively and it was much less comfortable. He only did this for a day or two, I think befor returning to the potty chair. NOTE: Yes, a new Matchbox car EVERY TIME he went for MONTHS. My brother is 19 now and STILL has a HUGE box full of them. But it did do the trick and he is definitely STUBBORN. Mom had tried a long time and this was the only thing that worked. > I was just talking to some one TODAY who said she gave her son a nickel > every time he went on the potty. She said he was the poopinest, peeinest kid > anywhere! I told her if Brock goes on the potty and saves me $30/month in > diapers, I'll give him a $30/month allowance. LOL > He doesn't understand the concept of money yet. : ) > > If I'd give him something for going, when would I stop? I worry if I stopped > after a month or so, he'll stop using the potty. Any experience with this? > > Candace > > .
