Guest guest
We've tried several ways of chelating our 13yo severe son. DMSA was very tough on the gut for him; never saw improvement; had many problems. From what I recall, DMPS was the only one we saw potential with, but early on in using it he developed a rash. The dr prescribing thought it may have been an allergic reaction, so we stopped using it. But from my reading recently, apparently this can be a side effect of chelation & maybe just a rest or adjusting the dose may have helped. Also, maybe it was just something he needed to go through; detox maybe? If this is thought to be possible, we're seriously considering giving it another try, but I wanted to ask first. We're waiting on another hair test coming back on him any day now. In the meantime he's been on high dose zeolites for a few months & we just re-started ALA rounds as well (we've used the 3/4hr cycle with troubles, this time we're going with Dana's way of 3x/day & it's going well so far - since the last round which we're only on the 3rd so far he's following directions quite well). five yrs ago Andy read his hair test & said it was " classic mercury poisoning " & " rare " that he's ever seen one so clearly show it. He's been chelated but on & off since then; I suspect the new one will show the same but will post it when it comes back. Thanks for any input, Michele
