Guest guest
Hi everyone, I have been reading the messages about sinus problems and allergies with avid interest, as these problems have plagued me for years. My dad was a pharmacist and not wanting his child to suffer, he gave me nose drops whenever I had a cold. I developed pollen allergies as an adult (I think pretty common if you live in East Texas long enough), and have been addicted to Afrin nasal spray for years. Now I think it is contributing to some high blood pressure, so I am trying to wean myself off. I plan to try the cleanses and change my diet, which is pretty healthy in terms of fruits and veggies, but needs improvement in terms of less meat. I am using cayenne tincture for the blood pressure and the allergies, and cutting down on the Afrin is already helping. But I wanted to ask about the super tonic. Is it a product you buy, or something you make? If it is something you make, could someone tell me the ingredients. This is a great list! This is a great list! ======================== Nasal sprays are extremely toxic and destructive. I know, I too was addicted to them at one time. They will raise your blood pressure. You want off the nasal spray just leave it and walk away. Yes you are going to suffer, this is called cold turkey. However, you can fast on water alone and eliminate it once and for all. Or you can take an easier route and begin doing some juice cleansing and make some changes in your diet and lifestyle. Best is an all raw diet with no dairy, meat of any kind or processed foods. Nothing refined either. All raw, preferrably all organic, but if you can't get organic do not let that stop you. Eat sprouted grains, seeds and nuts too. The Super Tonic is Super easy to make and is a dynamo in helping with all sorts of physical problems. I should also suggest you obtain a Neti pot to wash your sinuses on a daily basis. This will help you getting off the Afrin. I use powdered dried habanero at 230m. So yes, it will be a very good one. Just use a little less as it will be potent. Guest guest
Hi Don, Thank you for answering my question about amount of cayenne to use.. I've got everything on the counter now getting ready to make up the ST and I'm making more than last time so it will last a little longer.. I'm glad to hear that the powder will work good because that is all I can get for now.. But this spring I'll be planting some habanero's and Cayenne so I will not have to worry about having to buy them.. :-)) Shalom, Eibhlin > Hi Eibhlin, > > Not to worry. Guest guest
Yeah....I couldn't buy just one or two....they were in a package of about a half-pound. What on earth do I do with a half-pound of habs?!?!?! Sharyn Sharyn, I wish I had those Habs...lol I will eat hot peppers and juice them with whatever I can get away with. A couple of years ago my father brought me back some tiny purple peppers from Puerto Rico. They were so amazingly hot! I tried to keep them on living but guess they just didn't like NJ Have a wonderful evening Toni

Glycerin will not work to super tonic. Continue using the vinegar. For most people taking the super tonic is going to be much better than what they are currently doing. As you learn and progress upwards (in health and knowledge) and your diet improves to a more raw living one then you can dispense with things like vinegar and the other stimulants. -- Peace be with you, Don " Quai " Eitner " Spirit sleeps in the mineral, breathes in the vegetable, dreams in the animal and wakes in man. Now I have about 2 gallons of super tonic that I no longer use. However, I do know some folks around here who really seem to enjoy it. My wife included. I have slowly gone off vinegar too and have been completely off of it for 2 months now. My garlic, onion and pepper consumption has drastically decreased as well. Just don't desire them much any more. Wonder why??? LOL -- Peace be with you, Shari. Guest guest
I've got the house and lifestyle too. We too are the AARP crowd, but hey not part of the medication regime however. Someone recently asked me if I had an on-going serious disease (heart, diabetes, epilepsy etc) would I take medication? I said that is hard to say. I might take it, but I would constantly be searching for something natural that was just as powerful and effective. I am 58 and always go the natural route. I invest into our body. Just came back with several hugh leaf lettuces, organic, and lots of other organic fruits/veggies from our health food store that only does organics. Nice to not have to ask--is this organic? It's nice to "just know". I went to a few vegetarian pot luck parties and it was wonderful to just know I could eat ANYTHING! I have my organic produce shopping sources pretty down pat though. Alas...occasionally I have to settle for something non-organic, but 95% is pretty darn good! Gloria

They are all stimulants as they do stimulate the body. If one is eating all raw and not ingesting anything that is contrary to nature's law (not wasting vital energy) then one should have no need, no desire, and definitly would not want to put those things into ones body. So maybe that is what I am doing. I am ascertaining the truth for myself. Only way to experiment ethically is on oneself. No animals harmed and no neighbors dying unexpectedly. I am eating some raw sunflower seeds and an occasional avocado for the fat but other than that I am all raw. I don't believe that we need to supplement. All supplements are synthetic or synthetically derived anyhow. Not something I wish to put into my body anymore. Yes I have in the past. As our knowledge and wisdom grows we change our belief system and the paradigms we live by. This is evolution. Perfect health does not come from a bottle of B-12 or synthetic vitamins. It does not come from a pill of inorganic minerals full of fillers either. One should get all the minerals and vitamins from the raw living foods one eats. This will be the tender leafy greens. You will get some from some of the fruits too (not the sweet kind but cucumbers, zuchinnis, etc.). -- Peace be with you, Suzi. My challenges stem from too many automobile accidents. I also do not have much use for a doctor with the exception of emergencies. Unless I am totally uncoscious then I will even think twice about them for an emergency. I too stay away from medications and this also includes herbs, for myself, as herbs are nothing more than medication in the purest sense. Granted, they are much gentler than the pharma toxins but they are still a medicine and the body does not need anything from the outside to help itself heal, unless we are talking major trauma where it is a matter of really quickly soon to happen death unless the body is pumped full of drugs to help keep it alive long enough for it to recover from the shock and take over the healing on its own. -- Peace be with you, Shari. Guest guest
If you aren't planning to use the mash afterward, then I'd say just chop them up, skins, butts and all. One thing to remember though is that it is measured by volume, not by weight. A handfull of each, two handfulls, etc. Garlic and onions are more dense than the peppers, and the horseradish and ginger even denser still. As for the pepper powder, I have absolutely no idea what the comparison ratio would be, sorry. Nothing on them that is going to hurt if washed first. Guest guest
Sounds like you are doing just fine, Terri!! A bit more or less of an ingredient will not mean the end of the world. As for the vinegar, just put in enough to cover the mash/mixture with an inch or so over the mash. You sound like you are making a lot! We usually make only a half gallon or so at a time. Hang in there!! Don't let your frustration get the best of you. You are trying something new, so it is natural to feel a little intimidated. I still do, and I've been making it for a while now. Just keep the goal in mind. BETTER HEALTH!! And any questions or comments, frustrations or just plain need to talk, we are here! You can do it, and it will be GREAT!!
