ok you talked me into it.. lol

whipped shea butterShea Cream-approx. 11.5 oz6 oz unrefined pure shea butter2 oz cosmetic emu oil2 oz meadowfoam oil1 oz evening primrose oil1/2 teaspoon lavender eo1/4 teaspoon orange eo

Melt shea butter over double boiler to 170 degrees and hold for about 10 minutes, remove from heat and allow to cool to about 140 degrees. Add the meadowfoam, emu,and evening primrose oils and stir until well mixed. Place bowl in freezer and check in 10 minutes or so. Remove and whip with a whip attachment, hand held or stickblender with whip attachments. Place back in freezer and repeat until the cream starts to solidify, it will look jind of whitish. Add your eo's, preservative, if desired and whip it until soft peaks hold their shape.

Spoon into jars and then pack down with a spatula. It is very light and fluffy and you can just manage to cram 2 oz into a 2oz jar, very full though! Store away from heat! Do not ship when it is hot either or they will get a puddle, ask me how I know! Fridge is fine for storage, if you have the space, otherwise store in with your eo's and fo's, cool and dark.

This recipe is very versatile. You can switch the oils as you wish depending on what you have handyThe lighter the better. Also watch shelf life info. I chose these as I was looking for a good nourishing cream for older skin and dry skin. It goes on kind of heavy but absorbs within 15 minutes or so. Depending on how dry your skin is. You can add the sinus oils and menthol and camphor and it will be like vicks. Or add any essentials you want.. this is just a guideline.. Depending on how fast you will use. You can add a preservative. but not necessary. You can also ad some Nutra-sorb to help counter the greasiness.

P.S. I got this recipe from someone else and I am sorry I did not write down who and I can not remember.

Here is one from a member of a group I was in long ago.. with credit given to who gave it to me.

Becky's Tigger Balm RecipeĀ© Erisch, 1999

10 oz. coconut oil (solid, not fractionated)2 oz. jojoba3 oz. olive oil3 Tbs. candelilla wax1/2 oz. beeswax ( you can replace this with all candelilla wax if you'dlike, I was not happy with the consistency so I added some beeswax)1 oz. cocoa butter.5 oz. menthol crystals10 drops peppermint eo10 drops eucalyptus eo10 drops naouli eo

Melt all ingredients together except for the menthol and essential oils.Remove from heat, stir in menthol crystals, re-heat until crystals aremelted if needed. Remove from heat and let cool before stirring in theessential oils or they will evaporate, Place bowl in freezer and check in 10 minutes or so. Remove and whip with a whip attachment, hand held or stickblender with whip attachments. Place back in freezer and repeat until the cream starts to solidify, it will look jind of whitish. Add your eo's, preservative, if desired and whip it until soft peaks hold their shape.Put into containers.

If you don't have experience in using menthol crystals, they are quitepowerful, so do wear a mask when using them and caution, you don't wantto have your head right over the bowl when mixing this item. They are very strong.

the white wax can be ewax or white cosmetic beeswax... this is only used as a stiffener... it really isnt needed. i make a whipped shea butter that i do not use any ewax or beeswax... and if done correctly stays nice. email me off list and I would be happy to give the recipe.
