Guest guest
My kids were playing on the playground today with a couple of slightly older children, one of whom turned out to have a huge case of molluscum contagiosum all over his legs. The parents didn't seem concerned about exposing other children and had the boy in shorts with about a hundred boils visible. The boy kept itching it and touching everything. I high-tailed it out of there and threw the kids immediately into the shower. Don't get me wrong-- if Pharma came up with an anti-molluscum vaccine, I'd rally against it. All the same, I panicked because we have enough problems. I didn't know what to do other than to soap the kids up. Then I got the slightly hare-brained idea of opening up some Virastop caps and using it as a potion. While I had them in the shower, I put some on my hands, slathered one kid with the powder from neck to toes, washed my hands again(to avoid cross-infecting), then slathered the other with one cap of Virastop and rinsed them off. Before I got to him to rinse him, my son started squealing and itching himself. Apparently the Virastop can cause a bit of a topical reaction in some people, but he stopped itching once I washed him off again. Feedback would be appreciated and yeah, it's okay to laugh at my panic remedy. Or warn. So, em, will the Virastop do any good? Will anything do any good? I just have this horrible vision of the kids either getting chronic conjunctivitis or covered in bleeding red blisters all summer long on top of trying to chelate. Nice. Since molloscum is a virus, try giving the Virastop orally. Dana
