Several hours of puking ones insides out is not a lot of fun. I do believe that there are much better ways of dealing with asthma than through purging. Lobelia is a wonderful herb for asthma and need not be taking in such a large dosage, that would cause purging and puking, to be effective in an asthmatic. Personally, I would much prefer to do the whole body cleanse 10 more times than do the purge and puke method. The problem with asthma isn't so much a needing of purging as it is finding out what the cause is. What are her triggers? How is her diet now? What was her diet like before? How does her asthma manifest itself? What are her symptoms? Purging will only be a bandaid anyway. She needs to eliminate the mucus from her system. One body cleanse will in no way eliminate all the toxins and mucus from ones system. It will take quite a few. However, the more she cleanses, fasts and detoxifies the less there will be and eventually her asthma will disappear on its own. The purge method you listed will help to expel a lot of mucus from the lungs and stomach but it sure ain't no fun experiencing it. Give it a try yourself, that way you will have some very important data for the next time you think about offering this little gem. If your sister does this she is still going to have to eliminate the cause and still do more cleansings. But eventually she will get herself into excellent health. Guest guest
Don- Thanks for this insightful post. I was laughing when you said I should do it first before offering it up to others....I guess it is quite harsh. I am basically trying to find something that she can do between cleanses to further the healing process....The total body cleanse is quite intensive to do, so to get her to do another one, relatively soon will be tough. I was thinking about doing the Master Cleanse with her for 10 days or so maybe in a month or 2. I think this should help out her mucus situation a lot..... She says she won't mind the puking but maybe I better give a little more details on this process.... She takes lobelia everyday and when she has trouble breathing. It helps a little, but not enough. Sometimes she still needs her inhaler. I had her put a couple drops of Eucalyptus essential oil in a pot of hot water and inhale in. This seems to help and now rather than using her inhaler 1-3 times / day, she now uses it 1-2 times / week. Which is much better. I am trying to get her to avoid using the inhaler all together. I am pretty sure this blocks the body's natural healing processes. Also on the liver portion of the cleanse she passed over 300 gallstones, which I was very excited about. I think she might do the total body cleanse every 4-6 months but I need something in between, along with her diet, that with expedite her healing. Thanks for the information, Don. Take care and I hope all is well. Guest guest
Just a note: A friend of my dad had asthma so bad he couldn't work. He did a water fast (I believe he said it was 10 days) and his asthma completely disappeared. I know different things work for different people, but it might be worth a shot!!? Take care and I hope all is well. > Rob =================================== Hi Rob, You could give her as a tea, capsules or tincture the following: 1 part each of Comfrey root, mullein, chickweed, marshmallow, lobelia and astragalus. She should take a cup of tea 2 - 3 times per day, 2 or 3 capsules 2 - 3 times per day or 10 to 20 drops of the tincture 2 -3 times per day in a cup of comfrey tea. Also keep her on the lobelia tincture. You might suggest to her doing a water fast for ten days. 300 stones, zounds, that's a lot. I'll bet she is feeling much better just getting rid of those. It might be a good idea to do another liver bomb or cleane to remove any that have come forward since the removal of the first batch. Just a thought. Glad you got a laugh out of it. Seriously though, try it. Give you a real perspective on what you will be offering your clients in the future. You will know exactly how it goes and what to expect. All is well and peace be with you Rob. -- Peace, love and light, Don " Quai " Eitner " Spirit sleeps in the mineral, breathes in the vegetable, dreams in the animal and wakes in man.
