I would think that would work just fine but have not tried that myself. I am one of those persons, being the other, that can take the hottest there is and not have an overly intense reaction to it. We love doing that. :-) Not everyone is capable of taking the heat. I have been eating this stuff since....well at least 4 or 5 years of age and maybe even before that. I literally have loved this stuff since I can remember. Taking a little in your juice will at least let your stomach know what is coming so it can be moderately prepared for it. Try it and let me know how it works. I find it is best not to assume anything when I do a cleanse. That way I am never disappointed. I always get out of it what I need. You cleansed for as long as you needed to this time around. No shame in that. Every little bit helps. Even if you just do a 1 day cleanse. Any is better than none. When I had only fruit juices -- orange or apple, the hunger was completely gone sometime during the 2nd day. However, on the lemonade diet, like you, I was very hungry the entire time. I think it's due to the concentrated sugar from the maple syrup, which keeps the appetite up. I realize its purpose is to supply concentrated nutrients during a cleanse, but it sure doesn't allow for a re-education of the food cravings as does the plain fruit cleanse. Also it's been my experience that as far as losing weight -- so long as the hunger is present, the body will continue to hang onto those fat cells for dear life. I used certified organic, gradeB maple syrup from Springfarms.

Maple syrup actually doesn't supply any nutrients as it is a completely dead syrup. It has been heated to extremely high heats for hours. Nothing is useful in it any longer. To be honest I believe raw honey would be a better choice than Maple Syrup. Guess I will have to try it one of these days and see. That doesn't mean it doesn't exist though. As for the agave nectar, I am not certain how it is processed so I don't really know if it is heated or not. Hopefully, it isn't. If that is the case then that would make a great sweetener. Course, I do not know what nutrients are in agave nectar. Maybe Sylvia or one of the others who use it will know. It is not something that is found in Slovenia for some odd reason.
