Guest guest
Hi, My son had the same results, except higher. My DAN explained that Arabinose is a by-product of yeast, and therefore, a marker. I think you have to do a seperate test to determine what kind of yeast your son has and which anti-fungal it will respond to. We did not do such a test but just tried out different anti-fungals both naturals and prescription. - > > > Hi group, > > My son's microbial oat test just arrived. So far as I understand it, it is a yeast byproduct, so it is a marker. At my house, biotin and GSE eliminated all strains of yeast. Guest guest
Thanks Dana, I've been using GSE and Biotin for my son. Up to this date I've been increasing and so far I've been giving him 7 drops of GSE at least 2x a day, Biotin 2000mcg 2x a day. He is about 44 lbs. Just recently, I've added Nystatin as well. This results was approx. 3.5 weeks ago, which I barely got yesterday. He's been so hyperactive and not in control of himself as far as hyperactivity and his attention is poor and showing verbal stims, jumping and irritable. For two days now, I've been giving 1 charcoal at night, to reduce the die off reaction. It seems to be helping a bit. I've been giving OLE, lysine and Virastop, so I know that the die off is worst at this point. It's gotten so bad that we stopped OLE and Virastop and added the Nystatin to the antifungal regimen. So, I am imagining that his yeast is so out of control at this point. Please help me as far as the dosing for Biotin and GSE. How much is too much? Thanks DANA and others. lie --- danasview <danasview@...> wrote: > > > My son's microbial oat test just arrived. > Everything > > is in the normal range except for ARABINOSE with > > normal level of 0-47 and my son's result was 115. > The > > interpretations indicates yeast overgrowth. Guest guest
Hi lie, We've had pretty good success with Dana's method and have gone up to 7-12 drops 2x daily when yeast is a big issue, but usually go with 3-4. [Our son is 42 lbs.] Have you tried combining the GSE with enzymes that help weaken the yeast like No-Fenol (Houston Nutriceuticals) or Candidase (Enzymedica)? You give the enzymes about an hour+ before the GSE. That should strengthen the effect of the GSE. We've also been using probiotics (given at least an hour before enzymes, and on an empty stomach) such as Sac-B, Culturelle, and Threelac as well as broader-based probiotics (Kirkmans or Klaire, etc). The former help you attack the yeast (and bacteria) and the latter provide more beneficial organisms to compete with the bad stuff after it gets whacked. Why give the broad-based probiotics? If you whack down something without providing something else to replace it, it will just grow back. Other things for yeast are Pau d'arco, uva ursi, ... rotate these, and give with food (and the GSE). Good luck! > > > My son's microbial oat test just arrived. > > Everything > > > is in the normal range except for ARABINOSE with > > > normal level of 0-47 and my son's result was 115. > > The > > > interpretations indicates yeast overgrowth. Guest guest
Thank you. I didn't know that NO Fenol can weaken the yeast. I will try that. I will also try to up the GSE. We are using probiotics...threelac 1/2 packet twice a day. My son gets hyperactive with Culturelle, VSL and probio gold. Don't know why, I guess he is very sensitive. We are having better succes with Threelac. Thank you so much for your input. By the way, whoever uses threelac, there's a special this month where you buy 3, get one free and free shipping as well. Thank you guys. Now, I just need to know the amount of Biotin that I should give my son (44 lbs, 5 yo) Dana? anyone. Thank you again. lie --- mildcasedad <mildcasedad@...> wrote: > Hi lie, > > We've had pretty good success with Dana's method and > have gone up to > 7-12 drops 2x daily when yeast is a big issue, but > usually go with > 3-4. This is entirely possible. At my house, lysine was NASTY for causing a lot of yeast, but then it was GREAT at eliminating lots of problems. > Please help me as far as the dosing for Biotin and > GSE. How much is too much? Well, the most biotin I ever gave was 20mg 3x per day. And before I learned that biotin was great for yeast control, and I was only using GSE, the most GSE I ever gave was more than 100 drops per day.
