Hi,

Anyone has tried & care to share the effectiveness of such probiotics?

Two sites :

http://www.bodyworx.com/probiotic.html &

http://www.scoop.co.nz/stories/SC0708/S00034.htm

Any other places that sell them cheaper?

Do you think the Kirkman probiotics (probio Gold & SuperProbio 75B)

would help with oral hygiene? I know my son has perfect teeth till

the age of 4 despite taking chocolates/icecream but he takes mostly

above Kirkman probiotics, Udo Super 8 & Culturelle. He also uses

Baby First Toothpaste (fluoride free & supposedly contains enzymes

that help maintain oral hygiene).

Now we hv switched to fluoride based toothpaste, a little decay showed

up but also some slackening in toothbrushing so not sure which is the

real culprit.

Thanks

GP

Get rid of the fluoride paste. Fluoride is a myth that actually

softens teeth by blocking absorption of calcium and phosphorus.

vitamin D, calcium and K are needed as well as phosphorus, etc to

build good strong tooth enamel. Fluoride also poisons the thyroid and

thyroid function is needed to maintain and build bone as well as for

the body to use calcium.

Consider Weston Price information on remineralizing teeth using High

Vitamin Cod Liver oil and diet modifications.

Probiotics have not stopped my children from getting cavities, but

they are good for tons of reasons. Vitamin D deficiency has

contributed to them getting cavities in our house.

Also chewing and eating xylitol is good for teeth. Tooth powders or

tooth soap is better than paste. paste contains glycerin which coats

the teeth and can interfere with building enamel.

The real culprit is fluoride and dietary deficiency. Put him back on

the baby tooth gel or purchase a tooth power or natural product to

clean his teeth.

Avoid all fluoride and fluoride treatments. Google fluoride

hazards...very interesting how this stuff was ever passed off as good

for us
