Why chelate with ALA on its own?

Hello group

We have been chelating with DMSA for 4 weeks now and are about to

introduce ALA into the program.

Our understanding from our DAN was DMSA simultaneously administered

with ALA maximises the amount of mercury we can safely flush out per

round.

However we were wondering why so many parents here only chelate with

ALA and do not use DMSA as well.

What is the benefit of chelaing with ALA alone?
