I just got my son hair test results from Great Plains. Any and all help in

interpreting would be greatly appreciated. Currently using Brainchild

vitamins and minerals, Houston all three chewable enzymes, Custom Probiotics

and rotation of biocidin, GSE for yeast.

Thanks

Tammy

My understanding is that GP now has their tests done through DDI. Meets

counting rule of 4 or more essentials in the red, so high likelihood of mercury

toxicity.

Thanks for the response. I looked like the counting rules could apply

to GP but it didn't say that on the web site, only DDI.

So anything in the red is bad, high or low, right? What is good, green?

And if you don't see it, we have three on the potentially toxic elements

that don't even show up I assume that is really good news! Is mercury just

shows up on the green, the smallest of any in green.

His total Toxic Representation is just in the yellow, lead being the worse,

yellow. Could his fall onset of chewing all the pencils in the class room

be that cause. We've never lived in an older home so it would have to have

been toys as a toddler/baby or his onset of chewing pencils last fall.

Thankfully his chewing days are little to none.

So if red low, like calcium, it has to be an absorption issue. But maybe an

item like Lithium, totally at the bottom in red, I should supplement.

Thanks

Tammy

Thanks for the response. I looked like the counting rules could apply

to GP but it didn't say that on the web site, only DDI.

So anything in the red is bad, high or low, right? What is good, green?

*Think of it like traffic lights. For the toxic metals red=danger,

yellow=caution. On the essentials green or white is where you want things.

And if you don't see it, we have three on the potentially toxic elements

that don't even show up I assume that is really good news!

*Yes, but mercury is an exception.

Is mercury just

shows up on the green, the smallest of any in green.

*That's typical in mercury toxic people, hence the counting rules. Mercury is

sneaky, it causes disordered mineral transport. That's what the counting rules

help you look for.

His total Toxic Representation is just in the yellow, lead being the worse,

yellow. Could his fall onset of chewing all the pencils in the class room

be that cause.

*What we call lead in pencils is actually graphite. I don't think they use lead

paint to paint pencils but I don't know for sure as lead keeps showing up in all

kinds of things, particularly things from China.

We've never lived in an older home so it would have to have

been toys as a toddler/baby or his onset of chewing pencils last fall.

Thankfully his chewing days are little to none.

*School drinking fountains often have lead pipes. The soil around schools and

homes often had lead fallout from all the years of leaded gasoline.

Supplementing zinc can help reduce chewing.

So if red low, like calcium, it has to be an absorption issue. But maybe an

item like Lithium, totally at the bottom in red, I should supplement.

*Lead displaces calcium. Low lithium is common with mercury toxic folks. Some

people on the list have supplemented lithium, you might want to check archives

or post specifically about that for more info on the subject.

Thanks

Tammy
