Question #1, Yes parchment paper will work well in a dehydrator as long as you don't heat it to 454 F. Hehehe Question #2, you should try for a temp of 105 or less would be best. Although, I am not certain what temp Persian uses. I wouldn't go over 110 though. Yes it does sound yummy. Can't wait to try it out. -- Peace, love and light, Don " Quai " Eitner " Spirit sleeps in the mineral, breathes in the vegetable, dreams in the animal and wakes in man. Guest guest
Hi OK this is the second sweet treat, I eat this every day too, it is sooo sticky and sweet and moreish! Banana Macadamia Nut Fudge Cookies by Alissa Cohen - from her book * 1 cup raisins * 1 cup walnuts * 1 cup macadamia nuts (chopped into big pieces) * 1 cup bananas ( chopped Up) In food processor blend raisins and walnuts until smooth. Add in macadamia nuts and bananas. Dehydrate for 8 to 10 hours. MY VERSION I cannot get raw macadamias. I use cashews instead of them, yes I do know that cashews have been heated to get out of the shell. In the food processor I put all the nuts first and process till small bits then add raisins and process till quite smooth but still has little bits in it, lastly add bananas and process till they are well mixed in. Spread on solid dehydrator sheet with a spatula. I dehydrated this for 11 hours and it was still quite sticky but then I just cut it into pieces whilst on the solid sheet and put it into a plastic sealed container in the fridge and eat it from there Oh YUMM Persian -- " We have enslaved the rest of the animal creation and have treated our distant cousins in fur and feather so badly that, beyond doubt, if they were able to formulate a religion, they would depict the devil in human form " - Ralph Inge " The human body has no more need for cows' milk than it does for dogs' milk, horses' milk or giraffes' milk.
