Hi Dave,

Thanks for looking at my son's Genova Diagnostics test.

I am going to get a DDI test too, so will send that on. Meanwhile, I'll try

doing TMG/folic acid/B12. And some B6. (he was on high doses of B6 as per

Pfeiffer recommendations years ago and responded very poorly - aggression.)

Under your suggestions about TMG, etc., you write NB! Too much metyl donors can

cause anger, aggression and lack of motivation (of which he has sufficient

amounts). Sorry, what do you mean? Do you mean TMG/folic acid and B12 are

methyl donors? Or something else?

I feed him quite a bit of red meat, but will consider supplementing too. At

this point, should I still consider DMSA for the lead?

The potassium and lithium tests both just say <dl. We'll see what DDI test

says.

>Hi Dave,

>Thanks for that advice. Would carpet also have antimony?

I'm really not sure.

>Only our basement is carpeted, but the kids play a lot down there.

Unfortunately, we renovated our house (built in 1945) when my son was 1 to 2

years old. He is 12 years old now. We were out when they broke down the

walls, but probably lead dust collected. Also we had treated deck put on -

another source of nasty stuff I've learned. Had a whole series of tests done

when he was 6 by Pfeiffer, but they said the only thing he had was a

zinc/copper imbalance.

Ya, that's their thing.

>I lived overseas in Asia for 13 years just before coming back to the States,

so I was not up to date on environmental dangers (and another source of heavy

metal pollutants in my breast milk). My excuse for being a negligent parent.

Here are the test results from Geneva Diagnostics.

It's a bit hard for me to draw conclusions from this test. We usually use

Doctor's Data here, but I'll get what I can ...

Hm. I'm looking at another genova test here, and yours appears you are missing

potassium and lithium, both of which are pretty important. Would you go back

and check this please? (I have rearranged things in the order Doctor's Data

uses, to make it easier for me ...) Also, please check to make sure there are

no copying errors, since this happens quite regularly.

(From what I can see right now, clearly lead is very high, so this is a

problem. Mercury is perhaps a little low, and antimony is a little bit

elevated ... so it's not ruled out, but I can't tell much more about mercury

right now.

Na/Mg is very low, indicating that he doesn't have much in the way of

adrenaline/catecholamines ==> you can give:

Tyrosine, Phenylalanine (ie red meat or supplement);

TMG (.5-2g early in day), folic acid (.4-1.2mg, 4x/d) & B12 (several mg/d);

NB! Too much methl donors can cause anger, aggression and lack of motivation;

B6. Here is the deal on B6:

B6 does not agree with everyone.

Adult: 100-250mg with meals and at bed-time (3-4x/day).

If it works, worth experimenting with amounts. If not, don't jack it up.

If > 500mg 4x/day can get tingling & numbness in hands & feet.

If happens, stop and it will cease in a few days.

Adjust for children, assuming avg adult weight 135lb.)

Dave.

PS. Please add " Dave " to the subject line when you respond on list, since I'm

a bit behind and may have to skim fast.
