" When DMSA is taken orally, about 20% is absorbed, and blood levels

peak in 2-4 hours. Excretion is much slower, with a half-life of

approximately 2 days. DMSA is primarily excreted in the urine, mostly

as DMSA-cysteine disulfide " .
