What is in the non mercury thermometer??

I had a non mercury thermometer. I bought it about two weeks ago. It

did contain a silvery liquid..and yes it broke. The liquid pills up

and looks like Hg but it says it's not. What is this stuff???

Why does it so much resemble and act like mercury if it's

not..worry,worry, worry.

I did clean it up according to Hg protocol anyway. It's capped in a

glass jar for disposal....

Can I relax? Please tell me that stuff was like something else...
