Why after a few months of chelation is there period of no gains

I posted one of Andy's threads on another board about there being a

period of regression or no gains after a few months chelation. Andy

said something like this was characteristic of mercury toxicity. Does

anyone know the science behind this?

Please note that I am not addressing the three month rule after

removing amalgams.
