Guest guest
Assuming you paid for the test and not the DAN! doctor, therefore it is your test, not the DAN! doctors and they should promptly be told that and fax/email/send you a copy. Alternatively, you can contact the entity who performed the test and write/email/call them, say you need a copy. Sometimes they do it immediately, sometimes they have to wait a week/2 weeks after providing to the doctor. Sorry I can't help otherwise. Good luck! > > Does anyone know what exactly this is? Guest guest
It's a parasite. It can create irritable bowel symptoms. It's also very common so don't panic. Potential medications for treating blastocystosis include the antibiotic metronidazole (Flagyl), the combination medication sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim (Bactrim, Septra, others) and the antiprotozoal medication iodoquinol (Yodoxin. Shame on that DAN! For not reading your test without trying to bilk you tons of money. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blastocystis_hominis I think you will need to find someone to treat this. -- In , " l.largey " <l.largey@...> wrote: > > Does anyone know what exactly this is? Guest guest
This parasite also presented recently in our 10 year old's stools. The lab report said: Metronidazole is considered the most effective drug (750 mg tid X 10 days). Iodoquinol is also an effectivde medication (650 mg tid x 20 days). Recommended therapy can also eliminate other undetected pathogens and part of patient symptomatology. Various herbs may be effective, including oil of oregano (which I know my daughter wont take, unless someone on this group know how to disguise the taste). Limit refined carbohydrates in diet. As yet, I havent treated her. I am concerned that other family members and house pets my also have, and we will continue to be reinfected. So I am trying to do more research. ) > > > > Does anyone know what exactly this is? Guest guest
Hi, Matthias had also this blastocytis, it was treated with Macmiror, a Polish brand of antibiotic but the effect faded away on the last days. I used Monolaurin and caprylic acid to beat them and I did see serious gains in attention and mood, stays however a picky eater. Good luck ! Ann > > Does anyone know what exactly this is? Guest guest
My son had blastocystis Hominus-1st we did pargagon but compliance was an issue because he could not swallow pills and the herbs were nasty. We then did two course of Alinia. It is a script. It was easy to take (2) 3 day treatments. It tasted like lemonade. We did not irradicate them all because they showed up in a lesser degree on following stool samples. However, our doc believes we knocked down the population enough to stop his diaherria. He suffered for 5 years with diaherria so this was huge. After he was able to swallow pills he did the Hulda Clasrk parasite cleanse and blasto did not show up on his stool test. > > > > Does anyone know what exactly this is?
