Is there any chance that the head of the tick could have remained

buried? They are extremely difficult to remove and the body can

easily be broken off and the head remain in the skin! I would check

again, although it could be just a delayed reaction to the poison.

Can you try homeopathy?

Hi Dorinda,

Yes it could be from the tick, I suppose.

Was it one of the large ticks or the tiny ticks that supposedly carry Lyme

Disease.

Do you have a good homeopath?

Where do you live? I forget

I would think that there is a possibility of a tick induced disease. If it

were my child, I would have an evaluation by an MD promptly.

I'm in Oklahoma, no homepath.

It was an average size tick and the site is just a tiny tiny scab now. No

rash, no swelling, no redness. He was feverish on and off last night, but

stopped vomiting around 11 PM (of course, nothing left to vomit). He was

very restless and cried a lot. This morning, he just woke up so it's hard

to say if he'll throw up, but he says there is something stuck in his throat

and still crying.

well, an MD would get you drugs.

So, there are other options.

I have a homeopath who can do a phone session if you'd like. I don't have

a second right now, myself.

the head may still be in there - were you able to get it out? Do you know?

My husband pulled it off and so far, he always has got the head with it. He

kills them afterwards.

A diagnosis (of tick induced disease) would be what I would want to rule

out. and I don't mean just visual inspection of the bite. Is there a blood

test for this? If the child was diagnosed, then I could research

medication options and decide on that ---

My concern is declining medications. If they just prescribed something, I

could take the prescription and move on. They would never know the

difference. However, what if they want to give him medication on the spot?

or a shot? How do you decline it??

Dorinda,

I can vouch that long distance treatment works very well (with the right

homeopath, and I trust Sheri's recommendations 110%!) My homeopath is in India

(I am in Kentucky) and my family has worked with her for nearly 3 years. Our

dog's homeopath is in South Carolina.

Unfortunately there are few true classical homeopaths in the U.S. so long

distance consultations are pretty common.

I hope your son is feeling better soon.

With homeopathy one doesn't need a diagnosis. A homeopath works with what

symptoms a person is exhibiting regardless of the cause. Conventional medicine

will only suppress the dis-ease and lead to more complications down the road.

That's great to hear!!!

Seth is feeling better, but he just now took his first sips of water. If

it's still down in 15-30 minutes, I will start to think we are on the mend.

=) He took a sip this morning and threw up back up.

He hasn't had a fever since waking up this morning and he says his head only

hurts when he moves his eyes around alot.

I didn't! He's still not himself, but no throwing up or fever still. He's

hungry, but hasn't eaten yet aside from a few crackers. I have just been

letting him have water.

It's hard to not treat at all, but seems to be better in the end. =)
