It's really very comical. Yes, comical but sad as well. A couple months ago I attended my first " Red Hat Society " gathering. RHS is an organization for women 50+ and those in their 40s who are in training to be 50+ someday. The whole idea is to get together, dressed in purple but with a red hat on and do other wacky flamboyant things. Before attending I had visions of finally having a group of ladies to take bellydancing lessons with and such. What a surprise I had when quite a few of the ladies came in hobbling on canes or with walkers. They were all on heart and diabetes medication. Later I sent a suggestion to the leader of the group that we all meet at a local museum that is featuring the exhibit " Bodyworld " . The comment came back that probably no one in the group was interested in what they actually had going on under their skin. Well, yeah. That's pretty obvious. I guess I was very lucky to have grown up a sickly kid in a sickly family. I never had a chance to take good health for granted. They just don't seem to realize death can be a long process. To maintain health as long a possible could make it least painful. <sigh> Welcome to the list. Penel
