Hi,

Most of the transferred bacteria during breast feeding are coming from the

mother's skin, not from the milk itself, which is virtually sterile. This

same kind of transfer can take place during just holding an infant, since

they tend to gum everything within reach. The types of bacteria should be

similar provided normal hygeine is being observed.

That reminds me -

Are others having trouble with contractures? I was diagnosed by an orthopod

with contractures of knee joints, leading to bent legs, abnormal gait, and

muscle pain immediately above the knee.

Is this a CFS problem, or just inactivity?

Rich - will back-channel answers to your questions as soon as I get

time/energy to answer them.

Hi Jerry,

Congratulations on your daughters achievements. The one thing that my

husband and I always comment on is how much has taught us to appreciate

" the little things " , even though they are not so little to her. I think it's

wonderful to have those accomplishments and to see them grow!

I was wondering what you did for potty training. My daughter turned 3 in

November and I can get her to sit on the potty. (This is the time I also

have her brush her teeth, as she DOES actually sit still sitting on the

potty....I know it sounds yucky, but whatever works!) I also found that

using one of those $5.00 (at Walmart) Crest? toothbrushes that spin are a big

help. That way, her teeth are getting brushed simply by her putting the

brush in her mouth...and I think she likes the sensation of it in her mouth.

The struggle is almost nil now with that!

Anyhow, thanks for sharing the good news...always great to hear! By the way,

how old is your little girl now?

How old is ? When you say >90% sz reduction how many is that a day or

week, or whatever? How long did it take before you starting seeing a

reduction in sz's on the Keto diet? I myself already do the Akins diet to

keep my wt. in check and also because I have reactive hypoglycemia which was

very pronounced during my pregnancy with Jordan. I don't give her wheat

anyway, but she does get rice products currently and she loves them. She's

always craved sweets and starches. I think I will remove the majority of her

carbs and see what happens. This will be a challenge however with an already

picky, demanding toddler. My spouse would rather have her on meds for life

then place her on the keto diet, but I disagree and already considered it

when she was initially diagnosed. It probably would have been easier to start

a year ago as opposed to now but I think that's a great idea to ease her into

it with Akins diet and see what happens. How long will you keep your son on

the diet? So your son takes no AED's currently? I would love to get her off

the meds.. it worries me what they might be doing to her still developing

brain and CNS. I'm going to ask for a referral to an out of state epilepsy

center when we see our neuro on Thursday. We have very limited neuro care

here in Tulsa, OK. Anyone know of the best place for pediatrics? Our doc

mentioned a Dr. Wheless (?) I think....has anyone heard or had experience

with him?

BILL,

Thats funny! How lame of me not to figure that one out. I was thinking that I missed one of the current labels or conditions. Somethings I think I have "Mental Toxicity"!

Thanks

gypsi. true, i do not exercise enough. i must commit to changing that.

suzie. thank u so much for all of the time u spent on sharing your knowledge. most of what u said helps me a lot. i really want to get a handle on this. i do not resonate with what my doctor told me and i could not wait to get home to write for help because i trust this group. i copied and will respond with ***to all of your comments below.

Lots of garlic cloves. crushed and swallow.start with 3-4 a day for a week or two. then cut back to 2-3 for another couple and then at least 1 a day.. also a water fast and/or a juice fast... probably carrot/apple/ would be beneficial.other herbs are ginger, Cayenne, Evening Primrose Oil, Borage Oil, Flax Oil, onions and avacados are good for you.

***i will try the garlic. however, i do have the super tonic? u did not mention this. can i incorporate this? when u say juice fast, for how long? go easy, i get deprived without real food! i eat an avocado almost every day. do i still take flax even with the udo's? i dislike onions, although do eat them with the super tonic. Eliminate the butter,

***ok, i'll eliminate the butter, as much as i love it.

cholesterol-lowering foods in your diet: apples, bananas, carrots, cold-water fish, dried beans, garlic, grapefruit, and olive oil.

***i eat apples, bananas, carrot juice, cold water fish and grapefruit, but will increase the amount. don't eat much beans, but will increase the amount.i LOVE olive oil--no problem there

Make sure to take in plenty of fiber in the form of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. Water-soluble dietary fiber is very important in reducing serum cholesterol. It is found in barley, beans, brown rice, fruits, glucomannan, guar gum, and oats. Oat bran and brown rice bran are the best foods for lowering cholesterol. Whole-grain cereals (in moderation) and brown rice are good as well. Since fiber absorbs the minerals from the food it is in, take extra minerals separately from the fiber.

***i stopped eating cereal and rice but will go back to them--like beans and rice? i am not going to eat cereal until i can find some goat's milk. cow's milk is too acid for me. what is glucomannan? what kind of oats?

***u said nothing about eggs. i put one in my total nutrition and use the shells to make lemon egg. any comments?Drink fresh juices, especially carrot, celery, and beet juices. Carrot juice helps to flush out fat from the bile in the liver and this helps lower cholesterol.

***i make carrot, celery juice. stopped the beet due to diabetes II. i'll try not to skip days as i sometimes do.Go on a monthly spirulina fast, with carrot and celery juice or lemon and steam-distilled water.

***i have spirulina in my TN drink daily. i add bananas and pineapple, molasses and acv, lemon egg and 1 egg. u did not mention eggs. is this enough spirulina? will this work?Use only unrefined cold- or expeller-pressed oils. Cold-pressed oils are those that have never been heated above 110 degrees (F) during processing-at this temperature, enzyme destruction begins.

I put Udo's oil in my TN. comment?Extra virgin coconut oil is perhaps the healthiest of the widely available oils. I recommend cooking almost exclusively with extra virgin coconut oil. Consume as much as two to four tablespoons per day of the oil in cooking, smoothies, or right off the spoon. It contains large amounts of lauric acid, a potent antimicrobial and one of the chief fatty acids in breast milk.

***i have ceased the c. oil, but will begin again. i will have to try to incorporate this in some way. suggestion? i will cook with it as i have not been doing this.

Do not eat any nuts except raw, unsalted walnuts and almonds. Almonds are rich in the amino acid arginine, and were found in one study to cut cholesterol levels by sixteen points over a four-week period.

***perhaps i can eat cereal with almond milk. raw almonds are getting scarce since they are now clamping on them, so says trader joes where i usually find them. i really do not like walnuts. Reduce the amount of saturated fat and cholesterol in your diet. Saturated fats include all fats of animal origin as well as palm kernel oils. Eliminate from the diet all hydrogenated fats and hardened fats and oils such as margarine, lard, and butter. Margarine that contains plant sterols, however, is a healthy option. Consume no heated fats or processed oils, and avoid animal products (especially pork and pork products) and fried or fatty foods. Always read food product labels carefully. You may consume nonfat milk, low-fat cottage cheese, and skinless white poultry meat (preferably turkey), but only in moderation.

***no longer eat pork, little beef. love chicken. will change to turkey (in moderation). i have not heard good reports about nonfat milk. Do not consume alcohol, cakes, candy, carbonated drinks, coffee, gravies, nondairy creamers, pies, processed or refined foods, refined carbohydrates, tea, tobacco, or white bread.

***this part's easy for me. guess i can cut out the organic white bread and the occasional pie.

is there anything u might want to change due to the fact of my having diabetes?

u are an angel!

hey, don, where are u???

Don't push the river. Do your best, be well, be happy, be grateful! __________________________________________________

Wow ,

You sure seem to be doing most everything right except the exercise... start walking everyday...atleast 30-an hour a day.. will help too along with all this... also suggestion on the coconut oil...i read somewhere to mix it with a heart healthy butter.. like maybe "I can not believe it is butter"like half and half and then latter do more coconut oil then the butter...whipp it together and use that way on spread for bread... <dianamagic2000@...> wrote:

I harvested my first lot of sprouts with my Freshlife Sprouter. I

harvested Pea sprouts, Fenugreek, wheat and Mung beans. In my 2nd barrel

(which was on the bottom) I had Sunflower seeds and alflalfa. I went to

take the black disk off the alflalfa and Sunflower seeds and everything

was moldy. Considering it's been only 3 days, and I changed the water

TWICE a day (I used filtered water) I am not happy.
