Guest guest
My newborn sees a non-vax ped. At our recent appt., I was asked to sign a form declining vaccinations AND stating that I am putting my baby's health/life at risk by not vaccinating. I did *not* sign it. The women at the desk got quite fiesty with me, and I felt like they were on the verge of trying to detain me. I ended up just leaving and saying I'd get back to them. I'm not going back. I know that this ped believes in the non-vax position. He is protecting his license, and I am sympathetic with him needing to do that. We live in Atlanta - home of the CDC - and all the non-vax peds that I have found (very, very few) are requiring a form like this. I even found a non-vax family pract who has this form. A former non-vax ped told me that the CDC is putting on seminars for the peds (thus his change from non-vax to vax). Is this going on elsewhere? How is everyone handling it? I'm starting to think that my baby will not have a doctor. Thanks
