WHAT: The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) has announced that

the National Vaccine Program Office (NVPO) will

convene a meeting of NVAC's Vaccine Safety Working Group. The meeting

is open to the public.

WHEN: April 11, 2008 - 9AM to 5PM - Pre-registration is necessary.

WHERE: Department of Health and Human Services; Hubert H. Humphrey

Building, Room 705A; 200 Independence Avenue, SW., Washington, DC

20201.

WE'RE ASKING PARENTS IN THE AREA (WASHINGTON DC, MARYLAND, VIRGINIA) TO

PLEASE ATTEND IF YOU CAN AND SHARE YOUR STORY!!

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: NVPO has responsibility for coordinating and

ensuring collaboration among the many Federal agencies involved in

vaccine and immunization activities. The NVPO provides leadership and

coordination among Federal agencies, as they work together to carry out

the goals of the National Vaccine Plan. The National Vaccine Plan

provides a framework, including goals, objectives, and strategies, for

pursuing the prevention of infectious diseases through immunizations.

NVPO periodically convenes groups to address specific issues and topics

that impact vaccine and immunization.

Any individual who wishes to attend the meeting and/or participate in the

public comment session should contact the designated staff member,
