Andy thank you for taking the time to give your input as we always

value all you have to offer. This subject related to body / chemistry

is prob way beyond most of us parents to comprehend.

====>Kenny, you didn't understand this?

At one point I had to double check that Andy was still speaking

English........entropically disfavored??????

Andy - just to have an idea - do you know approximately how long DMSA or ALA

holds on to an ion of mercury before dropping it?

Thanks,

Dean

This means that the thiols are at the end of a longer chain of carbon and

nitrogen atoms,

and thus are less likely to fall close together as the chain flops around.

That means that ALA and DMSA and DMPS will actually have modestly greater

equilibrium

binding, and more importantly will pick up and drop the metal much less

rapidly than OSR

will.
