Guest guest
Hi Everyone: Our 8 yo son got strep throat about 2 months and unfortunately had to put him on antibiotics which cause a bad yeast infection. We treated him with Diflucan for 30 days but it didn't work, so we tried Nizoral, he's been on it for 1 week but he went from laughing and being very irritable, shorted tempered to laughing and very tired no energy. Is this a side effect of Nizoral, I spoke with the DAN doctor and she told me it could be bacteria instead. She wants us to stop the Nizoral and start Flagyl. He does have gut problems is on Gastrocrom. Does bacteria cause laughing and irritation, I thought it was just yeast that did that??? He is also complaining about stomach pain (below his chest bone), I'm worried about giving him Zantac because heard it could cause bacteria and that's the thing I want is more bacteria? I really concerned about giving him so much medication, please advise. Appreciate your comments.
