Guest guest
To take a medical deduction, you need to have bills over 7.5% of your adjusted gross income. The amount over that 7.5% is deductible. You can also count mileage to and from therapy, special schools, the cost of summer camps, special conferences, etc. The IRS has a publication listing all the things that are considered a medical cost. Guest guest
Medical expenses can be itemized to the extent that they exceed 7.5% of your Adjusted Gross Income. Travel expenses to and from specialized medical treatment are also included as medical expenses. I will review my textbooks and provide you with more detail. doug bennett CPA Cwww.al.com/news/mobileregister/index.ssf?/xml/story.ssf/html_standard.xsl?/ba se/news/10207630191664645.xml

Guest guest
My son does not have a diagnosis, but I did have to stay home with him this past year because of his medical needs. Are there any tax deductions that can be taken besides medical expenses? Any help would be much appreciated. Our taxes need to be done by Wed of next week. Thanks in advance.
