Guest guest
I just got both my kids hair test results today(after almost 10 days). yes, it is taking them longer. Earlier, we used to get the results in less than a week. Did you call them? Ask for Stacey, she is the one who handles results (X215 I think). They email the results, once they have it. > > Has anyone noticed if Direct Labs is taking longer than usual for hair > tests? Its been 2 weeks we have been waiting from the time they > recieved it. This is our second one and the first one took a week. I > wonder if they lost it argggg... >

Adrenal cortex extract and licorice work well for the adrenals. It's important to support adrenals before treating thyroid. Confirm the thyroid problem with blood tests - free T3 and free T4 are most important. Be very specific when you ask for these tests as most doctors do not believe they are meaningful and will order something different unless you ask for these. After they write up the lab slip, check to be sure they ordered the correct tests. The very high bismuth may or may not be real. At that high level, I would treat it as real and remove any sources of exposure (eg, stomach remedies containing bismuth salts, diaper rash remedies, cosmetics). The first hair test had lead tipping into the yellow. This is a good reason to include some DMSA (which will also help with bismuth) along with ALA. I don't think the test officially meets a counting rule, but tin and bismuth can both become very elevated due to deranged mineral transport. There's a good chance that he will benefit from safe, appropriate chelation. Read through the files to learn more. I suggest posting your hair test on one of the adult groups. -- > Tommy and Kenny Oz hair test. > > Cheers > Kenny >
Guest guest
Kenny...random quickish thoughts - bismuth looks highish on both your tests, would consider environmental (as said prev...mom's makeup? that confused me the person cutting hair, maybe? ...noted that comparatively speaking, the antimony/arsenic is highish...would look into & consider elimination of sources of exposure & adding helpful supps - fire retardants on carpets/fabrics/fillings & treated woods are most common sources. am thinking most helpful supps are similar/same to the ones that help with mercury...aluminum and tin both being highish, for both of you - would look into sources...canned foods, fluoridated water/foods/etc come to mind as bigger sources - iodine/selenium supplementation/foods feel like the biggest help here (as regards supps, that is), for aluminum toxicity. Bigger for addressing this tho, seems to be (my) near zero tolerance for exposures - (chuckling side note - anyone else get totally yucked watching people lick yogurt off aluminum foil tops, in those commercials - omgosh, I sooo do) - anyway, that zero tolerance applies to fluoride/tin/and aluminum, in our world, because of all that synergy stuff...As these is very off the cuff thoughts, just want to say that if not familiar with these, and you need/want more info, I can look for urls and such laterish wishing you the best answers elizabeth > > Hallo all > I would be very grateful for any help and advice regarding my son's > 2nd hair test and also regarding my own hair test, which are posted in > the Hair files Section under: > > Tommy and Kenny Oz hair test. > > Cheers > Kenny >

I may be getting what you wrote wrong, but I wasn't implying that the sample was contaminated. Bismuth has been used in make-up--especially foundation--for years. Any woman who has worn make-up most of her life would have been passing it on to her kids. Interesting to note that if you google bismuth and make-up these days, the biggest number of hits is for bismuth-free makeup. Anita
