Well according to the recipe you keep simmering, however, I would turn off heat once it boils, add ingredients and put a lid on it and let it simmer on its own.

Hi Suzie,

Does this mean that you continue simmering for the entire 30 minutes? Or do you just add the other ingredients to the simmering water, then turn off the heat?

Thanks for you knowledge and willingness to share,

TerriLynne

Sage Tea

1/2 oz fresh sage leaves

raw honey to taste

1/4 oz grated lemon rind

Juice from one lemon

1 quart water, boiling

Keep water at a simmer, and add the rest of the ingredients. Steep for 30 minutes. Strain out the herbs and serve hot or iced.
