Maybe I don't use enough. I also use fresh aloe in addition to it. I know it is good but has not made a dent in my situation. Guest guest
Dear Helge, I have a friend that has a mother that had intestinal problems and she was put on Georgia's Aloe Vera Juice. She drank it every day and was healed from her situation. My husband was taking the gel caps for regularity and healing for a peptic esophagus. Along with red clover tincture and no soda after 6 PM and a Nikken far infered blanket he was healed after taking this for 3-4 months. The Aloe has the ability to break the bowel lose for some but not for others. It does, however have great healing powers. Aloe Vera is very strong if you get it fresh. It should be started slowly so I sounds like you are on your way. You may want to pay attention also because you may get to the point where if you are cleaning out properly your colon will be cleaner and start to work the way it is supposed to. If our on any other drugs or vitamins and may have to cut back also because you will be absorbing more than you are now. Guest guest
Hi Christel, I am not sure how long. She is on vacation but I will get in touch when she gets back in 2 weeks. I know it is a way of life for her now. This is really a great healer. We didn't even use the expensive kind and it still worked. Sometimes things work slowly and you can't really tell until you have an attack of some sort and the pain jogs your memory. I don't think you can go wrong with Aloe Vera. Guest guest
I can't answer your questions, but I have a relative that took aloe vera juice to heal ulcers in his intestinal lining. He got the ulcers by taking arthritis medications. This helped tremendously. Just the plain juice. LIZ D Aloe vera juice I wondered if anyone knew something about the effect of drinking aloe vera juice on bowel cleansing. A couple of days ago, I went to the health-food store with the intent of buying something that might work. I had seen some tablets there from a Norwegian company: it's magnesium peroxyd mixed with their own stuff -- something about vitamin C and something called " bionoflavid " (I'm taking this from memory). Anyway, when getting there, the woman behind the counter, who is heavily into aloe vera and knows a lot about it, didn't recommend anything but drinking aloe vera juice. She said she could always sell me half of what's in the shop, but anything else than aloe vera juice is a waste of money (it isn't expensive). Well, I went away with a bottle from the company whose website is http://www.aloe.net.au/ ; they are known to be particularly serious about the production methods. I got recommended the model called crush -- I don't remember why, but I think it had something to do with the digestion. The recommended dose printed on the bottle is 50ml per day, but the lady in the shop said that 3 x 30ml per day is standard (I could drink more if I wished); maybe she was thinking of therapeutic purposes. And I should drink A LOT OF WATER, which is different from what's recommended on the bottle (drink it straight or " with your favourite juice " ). So this is perhaps not fully ordinary use of the juice. She also recommended to start with a smaller dose (like, 30ml one day, then up to twice a day, and finally three times a day), in order to avoid or reduce detoxication symptoms. She also warned me that there could be a terrible odour after elimination. Just before paying, I spotted psyllium husk behind her, and said that THAT must be good to take also, but she quickly replied " not when you take aloe vera " , meaning that it would be superfluous. Well, I searched the web for " aloe vera digestive " , and while it confirmed that digestion is certainly one of the main areas for aloe vera juice, I'm still sceptical about if this juice can result in the type of thorough bowel cleanse talked about on this list. I did ask the woman specifically about the removal of plaque and old stuff locked in the intestines: she seemed to know what I was talking about, and claimed that aloe vera could do a job like that. I have just started and have not reached the " therapeutic " dose, but we'll see. Maybe I should throuw in a faste? It seems that aloe vera could be a good part of a packet, anyway. I can add that the content of the laxative aloin is reduced in this juice, so it might be true that the drink is at least not " only a laxative " . -- Helge --- rabbitbrain@... --- EarthLink: It's your Internet. I have also heard that taking the gel orally is even better - does anyone know about this? I assume you would want the 100% pure gel, but not sure how much you would want to take and when. The juice tastes horrible in my opinion, and can only assume the gel tastes worse. But as far as I know it is NOT a stimulant. Very healing/soothing, and supposedly great for digestion. _jason_ _________ ________ _______ _____ ____ ___ __ _ _ _

I used to have " heartburn " before bedtime and the aloe juice took care of it. For me it seems to work similarly to sauerkraut or the lemon drink in that it helps balance the acidity (or lack thereof) in my stomach. jackie
Guest guest
How much aloe vera juice can we give? I bought the concentrate and diluted it with a gallon of water. The bottle doesn't say how much to take daily after it's been diluted. But it does say to take an 1/8 tsp daily. Thanks! Amy
Guest guest
I've had only good results with it when my very occasional heartburn occurs. I pour a couple of fingers into a glass, hold my breath and quaff the whole thing, then chase it with enough water to eliminate the taste (which I find vile)--heartburn's gone within 15 minutes or so. It's very nice applied to clean skin, too, before moisturizing and it's wonderful for burns. I always have a bottle in my refrigerator. You can also use the gel (it contains carrageenan) but it's a little creepier to drink. Aloe Vera Juice Does anyone have an opinion about aloe vera juice? A co-worker had a bad inflammed intestine last week (hospitalized) and was told to add it to his diet. I don't know much about it and was wondering if anyone on here had personal experience.
