Guest guest
I'm 4 months pregnant and may begin chelating my 2 year old soon. I want to taste the ALA just so I know how to give it to him and if it bother's my throat, ect...I'm not chealating myself but is it safe to test it? Probably a few trail tests at small doses. Guest guest
I'll save you the risk: I did the taste tests. The ALA from capsules is almost shard-like. It made both my son and me cough a lot. I found that crushing the tablets was best as far as ease of swallowing goes. BUT, the ALA from Kirkman Labs was the least irritating. The Vitamin Shoppe brand was the worst. It was hard to get the ALA to mix well in liquid like water or juice; easier to hide it in applesauce or chocolate sauce (yes, I tried that) or whipped cream (yes, I did that, too!). Hope that helps. Pam p.s. Kirkman makes a flavored ALA that is pretty 'good', but then you deal with the additives. > > I'm 4 months pregnant and may begin chelating my 2 year old soon.
