Yes, the FDA banned the sale of those types of almonds. However, you can grow them if you live in an area where they will grow. Of course, Laetrile can be obtained from apricots nuts, cherry pits, apple pips, prune seeds, peach pits, etc. So all is not lost. Just the best and most concentrated come from the Bitter Almond. Hello Don, Ok I am thinking about the wonderful meal I can concoct with pits and seeds here..heh So no laetrile in American almonds then? I wonder how many besides me did not know that (like I even knew laetrile ha). Actually my curious mind wishes to know so I am going to hunt on info on that one.
