New, seeking guidance

Hello group,

I'm Beth and I'm learning how to help my ds8. We've been on this path

about a year, started with EFAs and as we've learned more we've added

other supps, tested IgG, gone GFSFEF, started enzymes and epsom salts,

added back eggs and occasional soy.

Just got back OAT results and aside from resuming the battle with

yeast, I haven't gotten too far with those yet. Just yesterday I got

back the DDI Hair Elements test results (posted in the files section

under Hair Tests, " Ian's DDI Hair Elements test " ). I went through the

Counting Rules and it looks like his results fit Step 2 (and a

squeakin' near miss on Step 3).

His aluminum is also high, which is scary too, as my mom has

Alzheimer's. I understand aluminum should come down as mercury does?

*It also helps if you identify and reduce/remove sources of exposure. Check

www.danasview.net/metals

Also, calcium and magnesium help balance aluminum?

Obviously I want to start chelation as soon as practicable, here's

where I'm looking for feedback on my thoughts...

It has been some years since his last mercury exposure (no amalgams,

3+ years since we stopped vaxing). The mercury he's holding on to is

probably all in his CNS by now? So we should chelate with ALA, not

DMSA, since ALA will cross the BBB, and DMSA won't?

*ALA chelation is fine. If his lead is elevated you'll need DMSA to address

that.

Because his copper is high, I need to get his copper balanced before I

start ALA, and need zinc and molybdenum for this,

*Yes

taurine and milk

thistle may help too?

Also, since I know antioxidant support is importanat during chelation,

does anyone have any thoughts on Vit C -given that his OAT shows both

low C and high oxalates (one of the things i haven't gotten up to

speed on yet) and C is supposed to convert to oxalate in digestion?

Thanks for the wisdom and guidance!

Diving back into the never-ending research now...

Beth
