Guest guest
Hi all, I was just talking with a friend who told me of a strange, to me, anyway, occurrence with her little granddaughter. The little girl is 18 months old, and her vagina keeps trying to grow closed. The medical people gave the mother some stuff to put on it to stop that process, but the medical formula burns, and so the mom has kind of backed off from using it. Has anyone heard of this kind of problem? Any suggestions? I am thinking that the family doesn't eat raw, and might not be particularly willing to become raw. But are there any herbs or oils that might effect this situation? Thanks so much for any thoughts or info, TerriLynne
Guest guest
TerriLynne, I have never heard of it, but did a bit of searching online. I don't know if it gives any extra info, but here is what I've found Sounds like either a labial adhesion or fusion? Perhaps gives more insight into the causes (leading to treatment) My best, Anne http://www.emedicine.com/PED/topic2798.htm http://www.babycenter.com/refcap/baby/babyills/babygenitalprobs/10889. html > Hi all, >
Guest guest
Hello, I have just been getting caught up on my e-mails and noticed this post that I wanted to respond to. My daughter was less than a week old when her female pediatrician was checking her over from head to toe, and she noticed that my daughter had adhesians in the private area. I asked what she was talking about, and she said that it was a fairly common thing in baby girls, and usually just a minor thing that will correct itself. She said that it is probably nothing to worry about unless my daughter complained of discomfort. She also said that in the majority of cases, when the girls reach puberty, the increase in hormones will cause the adhesians to open up properly. She did say that it is something for us to keep an eye on, because in some cases, surgery is required to open it up.
