Guest guest
Yes, we appealed our insurance carrier who said " we don't cover autism " and " from what I understand there is nothing you can do for autism " . Just showing their ignorance. We took a lawyer with us to our appeal so that they would know we were serious. He really didn't say much & didn't charge us. The end result is that they are now paying for my son's ABA therapy (about 30 hours/week), however, it's going against his lifetime major medical. I just had to weigh it all out & decided that I had to work with the here & now & couldn't wait to start ABA with my son. So far (fingers crossed) they are paying 100% after our $5000.00 deductible. PLEASE appeal your insurance carrier. So many people don't realize that they can do this. Best of luck to you and your family! -- Ginger McAllister Nitro, WV
