Guest guest
Ron, I have been using Neutrogena T/Gel for years. It does a good job for me and it says right on the label " with....Coal Tar Extract " . I use it every day. It is very available, and less expensive at large member only warehouse type stores. I hope it helps. Cheri [ ] Coal Tar Shampoo I know this has been mentioned before but does anyone know if a coal tar based shampoo is still available in the USA with or without a prescription please? I used Denorex for 20 years but they recently changed their formulation and it simply doesn't work as well. Does anyone know why coal tar shampoos are suddenly unavailable? Thanks R.E. Guest guest
Hi Ron , Yes, coal tar based shampoos are still available. There's a story about why coal tar shampoos are becoming more scarce (particularly in California) at: http://www.psoriasis.org/coaltar.lawsuit.022402.htm -- Ron Dotson P.S. I almost put my foot in my mouth by posting a message accusing the FDA of causing the shortage until I found the story above. It's the first time I've ever deleted one of MY OWN messages from the pending queue! ;-) > I know this has been mentioned before but does anyone > know if a coal tar based shampoo is still available in > the USA with or without a prescription please?
