Guest guest
What kind of tomatoes? were they meaty or juicy?? same with the zucs... were they meaty or more like cucumbers... if your veggies were more to the juicy side this may be the problem.. I like to use roma tomatoes when I make sauce and get firm or somewhat hard veggies"Sharyn E. Cerniglia" <sharyn.cerniglia@...> wrote: I just had this the other day. It was very tasty. My only complaint was that it was very watery on the bottom. What did I do wrong? Or is it supposed to be that way? Should I wrap the zucchini in paper towels to absorb the excess water? Guest guest
These were pretty juicy tomatoes....really good home-grown Florida ones, much like New Jersey beefsteak tomatoes. But the sauce didn't seem that liquid; the consistency was pretty thick. I think it was the zucchini that shed the liquid. Zucs always feel hard to me, though.... Guest guest
Good point Suzanne. I was wondering if there were any sun dried tomatoes in the recipe. They will soak up some of the liquid, too. Shari
Guest guest
The recipe I used had sun-dried tomatoes in it. I got it from Carol Alt's new raw food cookbook.
