The rash is much lighter now. You can have measles and chicken pox more than once in a life time. Shingles is the chicken pox virus coming out of domancy when one's resistance is low. I have a few deaf friends who became that way from having had meningitis. They consider themselves lucky not to have become blind, mentally impaired, or dead. I've had 2 friends who had lyme disease. They were both herbalists who wildcrafted. In one the disease trashed her heart big time before the drs discovered it was lyme disease. The other friend was lucky. The disease became very violent early on instead of quietly taking over. The fever and head ache put her in the hospital. She lost all the hair on her head before it was over however. If you consult a dr. you are still under no obligation to follow their instructions. Whatever you decide to do once you have a diagnosis is still your own choice. Keep in mind however, when one is ill it can be very difficult to think clearly. You can treat the symptoms or you can find out what is causing the symptoms and address that.
