, I read the Zone two years ago, and Dr Mercola eating plan is very close with it. No refined carbs, pasta, sugars or breads, but a balanced amount of vegtables to counter the protein at each meal so the insulin levels are kept at proper small amounts. And lately about 80% of my veggies, I eat raw. Even when I have a peice of fruit, I also have a little cottage cheese to balance it .When I follow it exact, I feel awesome! People tried to call it a protein diet before, but it is not at all.Good Luck
