Guest guest
Speaking of running to drs.. DIL called tonite... Grandson has the flu.. throwing up - keeping nothing down.. She just got back from the store.. got some ginger root capsules and wanted to know how much to give.. etc... Well, grandma ran over with ginger root tea bags, powdered ginger and ginger root... along with some other things.. She got him to drink and keep down a small amount of pedialyte (I know)... I told her he needs to drink alot of water... and to water down her juices (she does juice).. He normally loves ice cubes.. wouldn't touch them while I was there.. I'm going to have her take some root and soak it in oil to rub on his tummy.. also have her take some peppermint oil on his blanket so he can inhale it some.. Will keep you updated. oh and juice some carrots with a bit of ginger - his tummy is pretty upset... poor little guy. Hoping she can get some into him. I'ts been so long since I got any that I can't remember which one it is - I found it at a Albertson's store finally. Check the back of the label for it and you'll know which one it is. Sugar feeds the yeast overgrowth that the antibiotics cause and so starts a lifetime journey with candida. ) She got him to drink and keep down a small amount of pedialyte (I Becky I read recipes the same way I read science fiction. I get to the end and I think, "Well, that's not going to happen."
