Ok gang... anyone with IBS or diverticulosis, fibro, RLS, need your stories here...

, one of our members needs some help. I am posting the emails between us as had posted a question and then decided solutions were beyond her reach and unsubbed.. I explained (off list thinking I offended her because I said that in the past members have rallied together and sent 'love' packages to other members who can't afford to get the herbs they need.... This is what this group is about... helping others, sharing when we can, ... anyway you will see our conversations... is coming back this evening after she gets done with school ... I have told her I know we can help her and it is NOT beyond her reach. (What are families for??)

I had just decided that the solutions being offered regarding many problems are way beyond my reach.

I have had chronic constipation all of my life. Now I have diverticulosis. I have IBS with constipation - I can be constipated and in agony and all of a sudden I have diahhrea and can't make it to the bathroom in time.

So I guess I am frustrated to think that the only solutions to my problems will cost me money that I do not have. If you have any suggestions, I am certainy open and willing to listen.

There is hope.and no, they are not beyond your reach..... tell me about your diet... what you eat, drink, etc...

I have an article on diverticulosis I haven't posted yet.. I am also going to pass this on to Don as I know he will also have suggestions.

SuziI do eat a lot of fruit (3-5 pieces/day) and vegetables, high fiber cereal (5-10 grams), high fiber cereal bars, ie all bran.

I also eat a lot of junk food that I shouldn't eat, like chocolate, cookies, chips, stuff like that. I know I need to modify that. It seems I have a lot of cravings for sweets..

My biggest problem is the constant constipation/diahhrea - never any warning when the diahhrea hits and often at work which is humiliating. I've started bringing a change of clothes to work, but the last time it happened, it ahppened twice in an hour and I only had one change of clothes.

I will be in class from 9-4 today and then will be going home. I probably won't be online again until tomorrow.

Go right ahead - If there is any possibility for relief, I am open to it. I also have fibromyalgia. and Restless Leg Syndrome
