A couple years back I took a cooking class at a local Korean vegan

restaurant and one of the recipes the cook shared was kimchi. The

restaurant makes their own because traditionally kinchi contains

fish sauce.

I showed the recipe to some of my Korean friends and they all told me

it wasn't real kimchi because it didn't contain " rotten fish " .

" rotten fish " = fish sauce

Be your own judge.

If you buy prepared kimchi, read the label.
