Guest guest
Cheryl, bless your heart. I read your post and felt for you. I felt the same way bout a year ago. I'm feeling better now. I eat a ton of oranges also, so I hope that's ok. Does anyone know? Also, guys, I read an article yesterday in my hometown paper about cancer and certain viruses that cause it. It said any type of hepatitis can be the cause of liver cancer in most of the cases seen. Does anyone have any info on that subject? I also was told the the Imuran is predisposed to cancer. All of this really, really scares me! Ya'll take care and have a good Super Bowl tomorrow...... in LA AIH 99'

Does anyone know? Grapefruit can interact with some medicines. Oranges don't have that problem. I also was told the the Imuran is predisposed to cancer. All of this really, really scares me! Imuran is carcinogenic, long-term, but it can prevent or ameliorate other more immediate problems. Alas, we weren't designed to last forever. Be sure to take calcium. Also, get glaucoma/cataract tests if you're taking prednisone, and watch for cholesterol and diabetes problems. Guest guest
Hi, Cancer from hepatits is still rare even though it is the cause of most cases. Only 25 percent of chronic hepatits progresses to chirrosis and 30 percent of that only progress to cancer. I dont know about the drugs causing cancer, but I do know they can cause osteoperosis. So be careful not to fall down. It also thins the skin so you can cut yoursefl more easy. Ama Re: [ ] Digest Number 1396 >Cheryl, bless your heart. I read your post and felt for you. I take 12 mg mtx weekly and 400 mg REmicade every 8 weeks. I also take Folic Acid and everyone that takes mtx should absolutely do so as the mtx reduces that in your system. Guest guest
White coated tongue indicates toxic body. Whenever anything goes wrong in the body, the tongue will be a good indicator. ( Remember when younger that the doctor would always look at your tongue when not feeling well and also asked to say " A " to see your throat). I think one should be careful to hang everything on to be coming from Candida. A toxic body causes all the nasty stuff including candida. You may have it down the esophagus as well, and that does take time to clear out. Try Kyolic liquid aged garlic. Instructions are on the box. It is pricey, but it has been super-good for my father. You swallow after swishing and gargling, so it goes all the way thru you. You can take it concurrently with other stuff. It just reinforces the other things you are doing. Guest guest
Arnold Seems like you still do not understand the nature of my several requests. I asked that OFF TOPIC stuff be provide with a few short paragraph synopsis plus a link to the whole article, report or whatever. I did not say to NOT post this tangential information. People on DIGEST or reading in EXPANDED MESSAGE mode online STILL can have a challenging time finding the next message following long posts..... whether they are OFF TOPIC or where the person posting has not bothered to clean up their Reply prior to posting. Again, those of us with brain damage have different challenges in following stuff than those of you who are fully functional. Hope this clarifies my requests for you as well as others mjh In a message dated 2/15/2004 11:34:02 AM Eastern Standard Time, writes: From: arnoldgore@... Subject: Advantages outweigh disadvantages of Non direct Epilepsyposts Hi mjh, I have carefully weighed the benefits of those Health related but not SPECIFICALLY Epilepsy related posts. The overall importance of information such as Stevia instead of Aspartame(nutrasweet), The effect of vaccinations on causing and exacerbating health and brain conditions is only TOO relevant. The issue is a little less obvious in the case of Nuclear Power subsidies. Just because no expensive scientifiv study " proved " nuclear radiation or genetically mdified foods cause diseases-including epilepsy does not make it completely irrelevant. But I always use clearly indicative Topic Headings that enable anyone not interested on Digest to bypass the post.Eliminating that post for the convenience of those who cannot easily navigate through a large digest is a problem that is very individual, but I think it can be addresed by going off digest or mail delivery completely and going to the website listing all posts and selecting those that are wanted. This would be a real problem and I don't have a very good answer, but if a person has trouble navigating the digest form individual circumstances will have to be evaluated by each person to best facilitate getting the wated information at minimum inconvenience. Those grantedly few times when one of my arguably " off topic " posts was just what someone out there was looking for makes it so rewarding to keep on doing it. In addition to my posting to some list serves, I also send most of my more general-not epilepsy specific posts on alternative health and medical issues to some individuals who want to receive them. If you feel you would want to be added to that list, I would be glad to add you.But if you are on this list serve you already get it, so adding your name would needless duplication of mail. arnold

Guest guest
It's a long trip to MN. Troy, where are you from? Since you are a guy, I'd like to get some personal info, to hopefully relieve some of my nephew's fears. None of what I'm about to ask is ANY of my business & I won't be at all offended if you decline to respond to them. But if you don't mind my asking, are you married/have kids? If so, do any of them have scoliosis? (I know that's probably not likely since yours was congenital) My family, several of us, have adolescent idiopathic scoliosis. My nephew's, so far, hasn't been progressing as quickly as mine did when I was a kid. But my brother & SIL aren't really careful to make sure he's properly monitored medically & my nephew doesn't discuss having scoliosis at all. I think they are afraid. Especially my nephew. They've all seen me go through so much, & since he is a boy, I think maybe a guy's perspective might be helpful. Thank you in advance. Guest guest
Well nope not married and no kids, But working on both now. LOL Anyway, I think that as a teen I didn't care to much about it. When I got into my mid 20's and it started to hurt it when I really have been active with exercise and most of my surgeries. Before that I would just go to the Dr. every 6 mos. and have X-rays and one surgery when I was 12. My new out look is if it don't hurt don't fix it, unless you can really see something going on. How old is your nephew? It's a big deal when he starts growing fast but other than that as long as he's happy. Thats just my opinion. Troy singer4jc7494@... wrote: It's a long trip to MN.
