The only fruit I can give a lot of is pear, everything else I need to monitor amounts, even with NF. Also -- it took awhile for the situation to become clear to me. Guest guest
that he's been on enzymes a while, or what gives with the fruits being an issue all of a sudden? Thanks so much for reading this. What fruits do you give? My son did not tolerate all fruits, even with NF enzyme. Dana
Guest guest
Pears, only pears. The probiotics have pectin, apricot and pumpkin. Guest guest
> Pears, only pears. The probiotics have pectin, apricot and pumpkin. It took a VERY LONG TIME for my son to be able to tolerate apricot and pumpkin. Depends on what fruit is the pectin as to whether or not he would tolerate that. Guest guest
As happy as a clam with our probiotic, I foolishly disregarded the other probiotic names others use on this list. What have you found beneficial? Re: Withdrawl > Pears, only pears. The probiotics have pectin, apricot and pumpkin. It took a VERY LONG TIME for my son to be able to tolerate apricot and pumpkin. Guest guest
Arghhhh!!!!! Twelve days with NO sugar. I mean none!! This is not easy! LOL! Yesterday I went to a catered dinner and they served this unbelievable peanut butter pie dripping with chocolate and caramel. I actually passed!! Tonight a friend invited me out for coffee and dessert. Yep..I drank some coffee but turned down the dessert. Just taking this one day at a time. ;-). I never realized how much I crave sugar until I went off it. No honey, barley malt, stevia, nothing! Gloria
Guest guest
You're a real trooper Gloria.. yes it is VERY hard.. especially the honey and stevia part... Thanks Suzi. I have to keep away from all sweets because one taste and I'll be out buying a half gallon of ice cream or 5 candy bars! I ate an organic apple yesterday and was even cautious about doing that. When the sweets craving gets out of hand, I eat a bowl of raw yogurt with some cinnamon on it or some oatmeal with a little raw milk, a few raisins and some cinnamon. LOL!. Not quite the same as peanut butter pie, but it helps with the cravings. Gloria
Guest guest
I wish I could help with some suggestions Gloria but I didn't have any withdrawal symptoms from cutting refined sugar out of my system. I definitely have an addiction to the stuff. As healthy as I usually eat, I go out of control when I'm near sweets. I used to justify it by saying I eat so well otherwise so what harm could an occasional couple dozen chocolate chip cookies do???? LOL!. But I paid a high price everytime I ate sugar...sluggish, having a hard time focusing, barely able to get out of bed the next morning, and a weakened immune system. It has all the signs of an addiction...some days I can handle it and other days I come real close to running out and buying a half gallon of ice cream. Like REAL close!!! LOL! Guest guest
Try kiwi... it's sweet.. and natural sugar. Suzi...I have to work my way up to real sweet fruits. They can make my Candida kick in plus feed the addiction (which is probably caused by the Candida). Really...I could literally gobble down 10 kiwis if I got started. I'm trying to break the habit of eating sweets so I have to go easy on it. Yesterday at the dinner I ate a sweet potato and then went for seconds and wanted to gobble down the whole pan of them! Even a few organic raisins makes me want to eat the whole bag!! I feel like one of those alcoholics that will drink mouthwash if that's all they can get their hands on!! I'm hard-core! LOL! The alternative - eating refined sugar - was so frightening to me that I simply didn't dare eat it again! Refined sugar is a drug and the addiction, in my humble opinion, should be treated as a drug addiction. Just take it one day at a time. Good luck to you! Guest guest
Just keep telling yourself that no man made substance is going to control you and that you and only you controls you. Oh, Don! Sugar is a man-made substance???? I thought it was was a divine gift sent to us straight from God's kitchen! I swear the Bible mentions consuming large amounts of Oreo cookies as being the key to the gates of heaven! Not to mention eternal bliss! Ahhhh... starting out on Day 13. An Ethiopian friend of mine is taking me to an Ethiopian grocery store today. She is teaching me to cook some of her native dishes. So far I've made her red lentils with onions, garlic and a hot pepper seasoning called Berbere. I need to buy some of the traditional ingredients. She never eats sweets so I feel safe going with her ;-). Gloria
Guest guest
I've been told the same thing about the prozac but never used it. Never needed to. I was misdiagnosed with GAD when actually I have pernicious anemia. So now I try to stop and it is hell. Brain zaps, freezes, sweats, nervous, tremors, on and on. When will this stop? It is pure hell. > > > > > > > >
