You would be much better off dehydrating or evaporating the water off the fig syrup than by boiling it. This will preserve the enzymes and any nutrients that are there. You can also add some prunes to it for a little more kick. Soaking them for 12 hours is great but 24 is better. After soaking, remove figs and prunes then combine all herbs equally by volume and let sit for two weeks. Then strain and evaporate liquid to half its original volume, then add some glycerine (50% of what you end up with from straining your liquid)(In other words, if you end up with a quart of strained Kid-E-Reg then add a pint of 100% pure vegetable glycerine to it for preservation purposes). Do make sure that all the herbs are powdered though. Okay here is more simple solution for future use. Soak your figs and prunes in distilled water for 24 hours. Remove figs and prunes and add powdered herbs (equal amounts). Let sit for two weeks then strain. Evaporate the water down to half of its original volume and add your glycerine. Take soaked figs and prunes and add more distilled water (be sure to remove any stones from prunes first) the blend the tar out of em and strain out the pulp. Bottle the rest and use it for yourself. Take the pulp and add some cinnamon to it and eat if for a sweet. Okay, if this doesn't help you any, cause I have confused you, let me know and I will try again.
