Guest guest
All, Just noticed a pattern that may be of note, if it also appears in others. I had been in reasonable remission for almost a year when I accidently re-injured my lower back two weeks ago. The back problem is the same L-4/5 and S-1 that has popped up on this list many times and seems to be related to P/A (despite the Rheumy's saying it doesn't). In any event, three days later I started to have pains that I had not had in a year and it has gotten progressively worse. I'm now up from a maintanance dose of 5 mg prednisone to 40 mg/day with minimal relief (in addition to MTX and Mobic). Makes me suspect some form of enzyme secretion caused by the injury that sets off responses in other areas of the body. Not unlike a histominic reaction that gives some people hives all over their body when they eat a strawberry. Anybody else see a flare after a minor injury? I think maybe trauma makes our immune systems go into overdrive?
Guest guest
Dana, Just my two cents, dark circles is a sign of food allergies still exist, maybe you still have an offender. LD

My children no longer have dark circles. So why are you addressing this message to me? However, yesterday I did post a reply to someone else who had a question about dark circles. And as I remember in that original message, dark circles can be a sign of food issues, but the context of the message made me think the more likely offender was phenols. Guest guest
Beverly... he cant help his moods.. take it from me.. just be patient and pray... he will return to normal been there , husband left me.. but was like a last straw really for me.. keep trying, Dawn From: " Beverly...cwlistmom " <cwlistmom@...> Subject: Question/Need Advice Sorry I haven't posted in a while, but I sure have been reading everything that comes through! Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for sharing all you do about your lives, medication, etc. Sure has given me quite a bit to think about. Ok, now for my question........ As you know my hubby has Hep C. I just read a post from someone about the relation between not taking Milk Thistle and irritability. My hubby takes MT but I don't always check on him every day..... lol He's the most caring, loving individual on the face of the earth BUT every so often when his liver is acting up I guess he becomes someone I hardly recognize. He knows he's out of character and keeps apologizing but continues to be SO argumentive with me. Picks on everything....does this make sense? I know in my mind that he's suffering internally, but my feelings get hurt none the less. Day later he's on the mend. Tired, but loving once more. What can I do to help? I'm open for anything. Thanks everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Beverly <>< My message to you: Don't worry, be happy!! Love to hear from YOU! Guest guest
In a message dated 6/8/2004 7:11:01 PM Eastern Standard Time, medicaid writes: ....I infer from your statement below that you believe we do not want to treat these patients. This is not true. Unfortunately, we do not have pediatric certified physicians, so the youngest we can treat is 16 years old. What would you (or your doctors) do if a family (with children under 16) having CO poisoning came to you needing treatment? Or if a gangrenous case presented in a child? Would you treat in emergent situations or would you turn the patients away citing a lack of pediatric coverage? I ask this because hyperbarics is a subspecialty with limited negative effects when used within accepted " known " parameters " . ER docs treat children for life threatening conditions without having a pediatrician doctor present, why is hyperbarics any different? Regarding the Medicare issue and " covered " indication, why is this an issue for patients that are not on Medicare? Guest guest
Hi Sylvia, I have tried raw diet, herbs, glucosamine and chondroiton, kefir, vitamins, etc. (sp?) for both my dogs hip displasia without any success. If I had the money, after everything I have learned and spent, my first course of action would be to see an animal chiropractor for an adjustment. If you read up on this, you will find that it can make a big difference. It's a tough condtion to deal with and most say there is no cure. I give my dogs (aprox 50 and 62 lbs.) one aspirin a day and make sure they get exercise to keep their joints and muscles strong enough to hold the hip joints in place. Good luck with your endeavors. Date: Wed, 16 Mar 2005 17:54:30 -0000 From: " Sylvia " <h10feet@...> Subject: Re: glucosamine HCL or glucosamine sulfate Cool article, but it does not really address one of her questions (which just happens to be a question i have had for months!) I want to supplement one or both of my dogs; both are med/large breed and the female is showing potential signs of hip-displysia (sp?) I really dont want to take her to the vet and pay a billion dollars for xrays and pharm's and would prefer to adjust her diet and or supplement her diet.
