Guest guest
Varicose Veins We have in varicosity something that is rather frightening because it develops and gets worse and worse and worse. We have had patients come to us and the back of their leg looks like the road map of Pittsburgh, lots of little blue and red lines running through it. Even with people who have had their veins stripped it returns again, because you have worked on the effect and have not gone to the cause. We are going into the cause now and the cause is calcium deficiency - lack of calcium. Now we told you about the calcium tea, use plenty of Herbal Calcium Formula, ( Horsetail, Nettle, Oatstraw, and Lobelia) or capsules but to get relief for those legs that are aching so heavy and the pressure is so rough on them...we use a fomentation of Oak bark. Oak bark is one of our most common herbs, use any type - the inner bark is a very excellent astringent that is extremely high in calcium content. What we are going to do now is make up a tea of Oak bark. All teas are made 1 teaspoon to the cup, unless otherwise specified, an ounce to the pint. You make up the tea, being a bark it needs to be made with a decotion. The difference between an infusion and a decoction is an infusion is when you just pour liquid over the top of an herb and let it set - now it can be hot liquid, cold liquid, it can be water it could be vinegar or most anything - thats an infusion....just let it set and steep. A decoction is when you apply heat and leave heat with it for awhile. This particular Oak Bark that we are talking about - we are making this into a tea - but because of being a bark we want to simmer it. (Use only stainless steel of glass pans) The first thing we do is soak the Oak bark for 4 - 6 hours in distilled water, and then in the same water we low heat it under 130 degrees. When it has sat and steeped for 20 min. strain and put the tea back into a clean pan and simmer it slowly until it is down to 1/2 of its original amount. Then dip the flannel (or white wool socks or cotton socks) into the Oak tea and put over the varicose area and put plastic over it. We use plastic just to keep the moisture in, it does better working into the leg than it does the mattress or dripping down into the carpet. Let the individual go to bed and sleep with this on all night. Even though they have been up every hour or so with heavy pressure from the varicose veins giving them trouble, and then they would have to lie back down because of the pressure again, many of them sleep all night the first night, because we are going to the cause now. We are feeding oxygen into the system through the tea, and with the oxygen we are carrying with it calcium. That calcium is rebuilding the weak veins and giving them new support and new strength. This is an extremely important part of the program, the outside use on the area, but it is also good to drink some of the tea. If you have it in to concentrated form we do recommend to cut it - use some distilled water and bring it back down again - 1/4 cup of the concentrated tea to 3/4 cup distilled water. We have seen varicose veins brought down in color 20% within the first week, and the pressure off of them within the first night, by continuing on, great success has occurred. We had a case of a lady from Germany who had had varicosity for over 20 years, and for 20 years she had had phlebitis with running sores. The doctors had told her there was nothing they could do to stop the pus and the running of the sores. If they got bad enough the only thing they could do was cut the legs off, and that is such a cheerful thing to tell a patient. Being from Germany she had looked around to find some old-time doctors and she found us. Of course in Germany they were used to people who were Iridologists and could read the eyes, they were used to herbalists, and they were used to dietitians and Zonal therapists. Well, they got one in a package all at once! We put her on the program and this is one of the things we used for her - the Oak bark - and within a matter of weeks she was improving so much, but it didn't come to her right off that she was improving, she just felt that she was feeling better and there wasn't so much pus running out of the phlebitic condition. She hadn't been able to stand for more than 10 - 15 min. for the 20 years that she had this condition because her legs would ache and throb and she would have to sit down. There was a bazaar going on at her church and they asked her to come over and sit there and if someone had to leave that she would take over for a few minutes until they would come back or change shifts. She said that she would be glad to, as long as she didn't have to stand more than 15 minutes. She got over there at eight o'clock in the morning and someone didn't show up, and so she stood at the counter on a concrete floor and the next lady that was supposed to help at the bazaar didn't show, and so on the rest of the day. She ended up that evening rather tired, but she found out that she had been standing on her feet for 16 hours instead of 15 minutes, and when she realized what had happened she sat down and bawled and bawled and bawled. She said, "I was healed and didn't know it until I was forced into it". Her sores were completely healed after 20 years. The lord has given us these wonderful herbs - it is up to us to use them, and I think it is so important to learn how. Taken from Dr. 's New Herb Lectures Suzi What is a weed?
