Thanks > Shalom > Eibhlin ============================= Hi Eibhlin, Yes, that is a lot of herbs. Especially slippery elm. That stuff will thicken up anything. Definitely add more juice or water or something. Add about another 26 ounces and see what happens. If it is still too thick, after several hours add some morer and keep adding till it is where you think it should be. You can always remove some through evaporation if you get it too thin. You are going to have plenty of syrup that is for sure. Playing around with herbs is so much fun. You really get to learn alot. I have actually been toying with the idea of making up a slippery elm jello. All natural and good for you too. Course, it wouldn't be quite like gelatin but would be an interesting experiment. Don't fret any, your doing great. This is how we learn and you are taking some giant steps here in the learning process.
