Guest guest
The longer you let any tincture sit the better it is.. but you can take some right away if need be... just don't strain it until a couple weeks or better. Shari Viger <shavig@...> wrote: The recipe I have for Dr. Schultze has an interesting step: "3. For maximum potency make the tonic on the day of the new moon and let sit either at room temperature or in the refrigerator for 14 days, until the full moon. Guest guest
We've discussed this several times... has to do with the gravitational pull of the moon... with the menstrum being able to pull more out of the herbs... i.e. high tides, planting by the phases of the moon,e tc... as to the validity... all I can tell you is if you dig a hole and put the same dirt you took out back in... depending on the phase of the moon, you will either have more dirt or less dirt in the hole... (yes, I've seen this one...DH proved it to me)... so is there more pulled from the herbs when done this way..... can't really say.... if someone wants to experiment and have both chemically tested....???? SuziShari Viger <shavig@...> wrote: Thanks, Suzanne. I understood that part. The part I was wondering about was making it on the new moon and letting it sit until the full moon. Anyone ascribe to that belief? S

The moon has a very significant effect on most everything. It has been proven back in the 20's, through 40 some odd years of experiments, by L. Kolisko based on suggestions and informations from Rudolf Steiner. The moon has a very definite effect on plant saps. It also has a very definite effect on tinctures too. There is a lot of information about all of this if one is interested in finding out more about it. Our recipes may not state it but we almost always suggest people to tincture on the new moon and press on the full. -- Peace be with you, Shari. Guest guest
fresh hot chili peppers, including cayenne raw, unpasteurized apple cider vinegar fresh ginger fresh onion fresh garlic fresh horseradish 1. Fill a blender 3/4 full with equal amounts of coarsely chopped chili peppers, ginger, onion, garlic and horseradish. There is no need to peel the vegetables or to remove seeds from the chili peppers. Pour in apple cider vinegar to cover. 2. Blend on high spped until "applesauce" consistency. 3. For maximum potency make the tonic on the day of the new moon and let sit either at room temperature or in the refrigerator for 14 days, until the full moon. (Of course, you don't have to wait 14 days to drink or eat some.) 4. This tonic can be consumed either as a beverage or as a sauce. The sauce is ready once it is blended. To make a beverage, put some sauce through a colander, discarding the pulp. Dr. Schulze says you can store the tonic at room temperature or in the refrigerator. It lasts a long time and gets better with age. In the "Save Your Life Videos", Dr. Schulze states that this tonic is good for the common cold and flu, and even for serious problems like heart disease and cancer. He recommends 10 - 15 spoonfuls a day. The tonic kills germs, boosts circulation and builds up strength.
