Good Morning Don,

Thankyou so very much. I do not have anything here with the exception of the cayenne but all will go on my handy little "wishlist" here. I suspect that by the time I do gather what I need all will still be here to reap from it ;)

I just might have a little glass in this cut and as far as the knuckle goes, my son said he could see the bone itself as I was too much being a wuss. I may have a good pain threshold but not a good "sight of blood" threshold lol

I did not clean it all that well because it was bleeding so heavily. Figured if anything was in there it would have flowed out!

Thanks again Don for your much appreciated assistance. I will look into getting these and will report back (of course) when I do.

Have a beautiful and blessed day.

Toni

Hi Toni,It is possible that there could be a piece of glass in there still. Unless you carefully cleansed and thoroughly checked the wound prior to bandaging or whatever you might have left something in there. Could also be that you knicked the knuckle too. I have done the same thing myself and suffered as you are now. Since the wound is now closed you will need to use something that will pull and help reduce the infection. The infection is a good thing, believe it or not, as this is the bodies way of dealing with debris, toxins, etc. They help clean up the area and can affect repairs. Some DMSO will assist in getting the infection down as will a poultice of comfrey leaves or a drawing salve. Here is an Rx that may be of use in helping to assist this. My only suggestion for it is to add some DMSO to it, if you have it. Yes it is predominantly for fresh wounds, and works very very well too I might add, but it should also help in this instance as well.Don's Torn Tissue Repair Powder1 part Comfrey leaf powder (Symphytum officinale)1 part Burdock root powder (Arctium lappa)1 part Myrrh gum powder (Commiphora molmol)1 part Cayenne powder (Cayenne species)2 - 4 drops Benzoin resinoidMake certain the wound is thoroughly cleansed before applying this poultice. Itwill heal very quickly and any dirt will be sealed inside.Mix herbs together and take enough to cover wound with. Add just enough distilledwater to the herbs to make a paste and then add the benzoin. Apply to the woundand cover with a clean bandage. Depending on the severity of the wound it shouldbe changed a minimum of twice a day morning and night. Otherwise at least threetimes a day for really bad wounds. To remove the previous poultice use only warm distilled water and allow wound tosoak, if possible, or just gently sponge till poultice softens and comes off. This is a very good blend for any type of torn flesh. The cayenne will stop thebleeding, the Burdock and Comfrey will help the wound to heal and the Myrrh willnot only take away the pain but will help to keep down infection too. TheBenzoin will help with scarring.
