Guest guest
I too have a pair of dansko's and since I started wearing them, my knees have been bothering me. Anyway-- I saw this amish iridologist who says the bones on the top of my foot are not in alignment. I think this is because of those danskos-- I was not having this problem in december and didn't start wearing the dansko's until december. anyway-- i don't think danskos are for me. as far as circulation -- i don't really know, but cayenne is supposed to be good for circulation. ----- Original Message ----- From: Shari Viger health Sent: Tuesday, April 12, 2005 1:26 PM Subject: compromised blood flow I know someone here will give me some hope and a sane answer! Saturday I attended a small health gathering in my town sponsored by the "diabetic shoe store". This woman sells Dansko, Birkenstock, and a few other wonderful shoes and caters to people with diabetes and their particular needs with shoes. I own three pairs of Dansko clogs and love them. While there I had an analysis done of the veins in my legs. To say the least I was rather freaked by the outcome. I am 55, fair skin, weight trainer, walk 2 miles 6x per week, 95% raw vegan, tad overweight, drink the correct amount of water everyday, drink 2 cups of coffee on Sunday, haven't had a drink in 18 years, and haven't had a smoke in 17 years. My report came back as quite bad blood return in my legs. I do have many spider veins, but I attributed them to having been a flight attendant for a number of years and after having a sit down job. What, if anything, would anyone recommend as something to improve the circulation in my legs. Of course she wanted to sell me compression hoisery. That is not something I would relish with my lifestyle. Any help would be appreciated. Shari

Guest guest
- if they are size 40 in the clog foot bed, I'd be interested in buying them. Email me off list if interested - Shari shavig@... Guest guest
I'm thinking of trying a Rebounder, a small mini-trampoline. They say that ten minutes jumping on a Rebounder is better for you than jogging or anything else because it puts no stress on the skeletal system *and* stimulates the lymph system. I would imagine it would stimulate circulation as well. Hi Shari, Isn't it a hoot when you present a disfunction happening and you're already doing everything that might be the standard suggestions to get around that disfunction. I'd have to see you personally to make any real suggestions but just generally speaking, what you discribe might take your research into herbs that build the strength of the walls of your cariovascular system/ to maintain their elasticity? Horsechestnut and hawthorn come to mind but without seeing you in person I have no way of knowing by my education if they'd be good for you and the answer to your adventure. In the mean time while you research that avenue, just generally speaking, might a yoga teacher suggest inversions to alleviate some of the stress off the pooling blood? It doesn't have to be as radical as standing on your head or shoulder stands. A very gentle inversion could be done lying on the floor with your legs vertical against a wall or resting elevated on a chair. After experimenting an inversion for 5 minutes or so, remember to lie flat for a while then get up slowly. Penel
